Sunday Service Community Food Distribution Experience

#COOPERATIONOVERCOMPETITION

Our mantra of operation. Our goal for community. Our philosophy of life. The way we make this goal a reality is when we work together. Check out the video below to see how it all works within our Sunday Service Experience.

In early 2022, we celebrated the opening of our Community Cold Storage unit hosted on the grounds at 4DWN PROJECT Skatepark. The cold storage container – customized not only for perishable foods in all weather but also as a cool observation deck – will allow us to amplify our community partnerships and to redirect food products, both fresh and value added, previously headed for landfills into the hands of those most in need among us. Please use the links below to become a donor of food products or a distribution volunteer.

Volunteer Opportunities: Come and disperse, distribute and deliver food to those in need. Volunteering as a Cold Storage Captain offers a great opportunity for individuals and groups to provide a meaningful, positive impact in the community! During your volunteer experience at OCVP your group will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to those listed below.

Volunteer Expectations:

9:30AM: Volunteer registration/orientation/task assignment

10:00AM-11:30AM: Volunteer Experience-Volunteer tasks include: providing concierge service to clients, cart running, preparing cold bags, unloading trucks, stocking shelves, sorting items, preparing boxes, administrative tasks, etc.

11:30-12:00 PM: Volunteer experience wrap-up

Please consider donating our most needed items when you come to volunteer! We are a community-based organization and depend on individuals and/or groups to help us provide meals to the families we serve!
